I was very pleasantly surprised I stayed using these “new” guys in Aberdeen. I was very pleasantly surprised, I am used to the odd "hick up" using agents and serviced apartments aside, (in my opinion the UK suffers from a lack of service generally). From booking through to the serviced apartment I found myself increasingly impressed, they were incredibly helpful, courteous and flexible, listening to everything I needed for myself and colleagues, matching it with the "perfect choice" and delivering the end product to the T. That said, everything the SAIL website promised it managed to deliver – and more. I chose the destination of my choice (Aberdeen), then viewed what they had on offer, then simply selected the apartment that best appealed to me (Micasa on Union Street). Their online destination guide was very helpful as I wanted to take in some sights in addition to my meetings. Made my secure online payment, got my confirmation immediately in my inbox, then went a few days later to the property and enjoyed a great 2 day and 2 night business trip. The apartments were fantastic, and it’s clear SAIL is intent on keeping their promise of pre selecting high quality partners – so you know what you are getting in all apartments across the country. I have a small confession to make: After I found Micasa on the SAIL website I went directly to Micasa to see if I could get a better deal directly. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Micasa were charging the same rates directly as they were charging through SAIL. From what my colleagues tell me, most other travel websites whack on huge mark ups. SAIL seems to keep things reasonable. Now that my online account is set up with SAIL (it took about 4 minutes to create) I won’t go anywhere else to book serviced apartments. Knowing they are pre vetting apartments for me and ensuring I get the best possible rate means, a) I save time researching places to stay and reading through online reviews and b) I save money!
